Juxtaposition of two contrasting states, ideas, or forces.
Structure
- Canvas divided into two zones representing opposing states
- Strong visual contrast between the two sides (color, texture, style)
- Tension at the boundary between the two zones
- Unlike binary-comparison, focuses on conflict rather than neutral comparison
